Hello Defined Designers! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Recently I was re-organizing my apartment and I decided to give my sister our mothers Jewelry box for her birthday. She has always wanted it so I figured it was time to pass it on to her. But, when I gave it to her I quickly realized it nowhere near fit her room decor. So a project was born!
Last week we decided it was time for the Jewelry box make over. So we headed out to Home Depot and picked up some glossy black spray paint, silver metal finish spray paint, and sand paper to re-imagine the jewelry box to better fit her style. Here is the before:
First I took off all of the Gold hardware and cleaned the jewelry box. I then lightly sanded the piece for better paint adherence. Take a look at the prep:
We then headed outside to begin the painting!
Now take a look at the finished product!
This was a great quick way to give something with sentimental value a new life! Now my sister can enjoy it as much as I did. What do you think defined designers?
Until next time!
